8th December 2021 24’ x36’ (60.9 cm x 91.4cm) Acrylic on canvas $750.00 Went to Brisbane to see Charles Dickens a Christmas Carol at QPAC. We arrived early so walked to the museum and visited the whales. Beautiful colours of Shannon Novak's work, now behind the whales. The sky was stormy and the riverside skyline juxtaposed the ever present trees. The play was amazing. I loved the swirl of the snow.
31st December 2021 24’ x36’ (60.9 cm x 91.4cm) Acrylic on canvas $750 Thoughts about the 2021 swimming around my head - bushfires, pandemic, shortages. It all seems quite dystopian, some of the images were too disturbing. I've covered them with clouds referencing Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now." I remember the days when we used to be able to jump on a plane just to go on holiday - "I really don't know clouds at all."

17th December 2021 24’ x36’ (60.9 cm x 91.4cm) Acrylic on canvas $750.00 My happy place – on the veranda – the easel set up and painting “8th December 2021”. Our Cocker spaniel, Tigger dozing in the heat with the agapanthus in full bloom in the garden below and listening to podcasts, who should fly down but a local king parrot. “Rex” was talkative and answered several questions in typical tweets, bobbing around as flew from easel to table. Perfect!
